I’ll be sure to share my profile when there is console support
Game Center updates
You can already, what’s the problem?
Hi Marc,
For D-BOX Coded Video, it should work on all chairs. Was the haptic muted on the other chairs? If not, I suggest you open a ticket with our support team.
For Gaming (D-BOX Coded Gaming and Adaptive Gaming), it works with the 1st chair listed in the Control Panel. This order is configurable by the user. Hope that helps.
Thanks!
HI Brandon,
With Adaptive Gaming Mode being hyper-tuned in to your in-game user actions, you’re now able to experience haptic feedback for EVERY PC game, not just the games we’ve specifically coded.
I’m sorry I thought Game Center was not compativle with the HaptiSync products?
A great feature for those who don’t have a HEMC and can now save a lot of money
What I fail to understand is that D-Box prides itself on simulation, yet adaptive gaming setup primarily only works with a console type controller.
I’m sure there are a lot of people here, such as myself that won’t use this feature unless it supports Hotas, Rudder Pedals, Steering Wheels and so forth.
Windows detects device axis on each different control box, yet this software can’t tell the difference between the axis on a rudder pedal or the axis of a wheel.
I was able to get the axis assignment once with the warthog Hotas for directional input but now after removing to and creating a new profile the axis is found as a button input.
I have to admit that I was super excited to see this coming Inline with a number of other products that have been on the market now for years with this feature, but this seriously fell short.
Is there any timeline for proper implementation?
Checking in on this again, is it possible to use the GameCenter features with the Jaymar Haptisync LifeStyle Chairs?
Hey Tim! whoops, my bad- I forgot to get back to you.
It would technically work but require a complex technical set-up (including a new piece of hardware). We do not suggest this set-up and are working on a new technology that would allow this to work directly from the HaptiSync Hub. However, we do not have a release date for this yet.
Thank you
Hi!
thank you for your feedback Unfortunately, it appears it is quite complex to be compatible with all HOTAS, steering wheels and other equipments but our team is working on it.
We did not want to delay this BETA relelase and we will keep you posted when it’s available.
Thanks!
Is this the best thread for discussing the Adaptive Gaming Configurator and post requests and suggestions?
Posting here for now…
Please add support for the Quest 2 motion controllers. I tried to assign the triggers and buttons to a custom profile but all the buttons get picked up as the mouse.
I was trying to create a profile for No Man’s Sky VR. There are many other seated VR games that use the motion controllers, so would be great if we can have those supported please.
In the D-Box Stimuli Presenter tool, there is an option for “Boat Ambiance”, and one for “Sine Generator”. I find when I combine these two I can generate a very convincing effect for a boat ride on water. I cannot find either of these two effects in the AGC though. Can you please add them as options as well?
Duly noted Stephen!
The Adaptive gaming mode is still in its early stages and making haptics available with VR controllers presents a specific new set of challenges. However D-BOX is commited to making this feature as versatile as possible and therefore we do plan on having VR compatibility in the future!
Great to hear, thanks Marc!
Hey DRK. I’m not sure if this will help as I have not had a chance to even try the adaptive gaming feature yet. I too was hoping that this would work with joystick axis not just controllers. I kind of feel like what’s the point with a controller lol. My game plan is to try to get the software to find all axis and if it doesn’t I will emulate all of my hotas equipment into one virtual joystick using two programs. V-joy and joystick gremlin. If that doesn’t work I got nothing and I’m with you on this falling way short
Thanks for the reply. I found this to be a waste of efforts at this current time. Even using a gaming controller.
If you use the preconfigured profiles that support gaming controllers the axis works. If you map one yourself it usually doesn’t.
I had my Hotas axis mapped, and figured I would create a new profile. After deleting the mappings the software was unable to find the axis again.
Also, it can’t separate controllers.
For example: I have a Simucube 2 Pro, HE Pedals, HE sequential shifter, Thrustmaster Warthog Hotas, and Rudder Pedals. Dash Panels with 64 buttons.
If I move my Hotas to map an axis, it picks the exact same axis if I use my brake or gas pedals.
I tried disconnecting devices, and also tried adjustments in DiView.
All of the hardware I have is recognized by Windows without additional drivers.
In reality it doesn’t make sense with the cost of DBox to be using a game controller, and would assume most people who spend the money on DBox would probably emulate whatever it is they are doing with good hardware, and not a $60 game controller.
I spoke to a coder think his name was Able from DBox on many occasions, when we were looking at the iracing profile. I asked for him to add the banking axis which he did (I did additional testing for him, and provided feedback) . At the same time we were talking about emulating Hotas for a few other games that didn’t have DBox support. From the 20+ emails, I was told they scrapped that idea due to the complexity, and that DBox is about simulation. That was a couple years back.
So not holding my breath, but this isn’t usable as it currently stands. I would rather not use this software, than use it with a controller.
That’s me… fingers crossed something comes of this, because there are other products on the market that already do this. (I’m invested in DBox)
Yeah, I truly hope that this gets sorted as other open source platforms allow for configuration of motion based on joystick ( not game controller ) input. Dbox should really support this out of the box for the premium cost compared to other units. In my opinion flight, racing, space are all Sims. Not just one of the three
Looks good so far, I think it’s a good idea! I’m also still waiting for console support for e.g. PS5 that would be great!
not yet I Have not got a gaming profile
Still waiting for console support great news!
